Below is a picture of our daily schedule!
Language
We will continue to explore suffixes to ensure we are applying the rules correctly depending on the suffix you have to add to the end of a word. In today's activity, you have to complete a worksheet by adding the suffixes from each column.
Once you've finished this worksheet, you need to pick 4 of those word families and write a sentence for each of them, unless you accept the challenge below. For example, if I picked the word family that belongs to work, I would have to use all 5 of these words that belong to this word family "work, worker, works, working, worked," each in their own sentence. This means you should have a total of 20 sentences.
A Challenge for you to accept!
Instead of writing individual sentences for each word, I challenge you to create a paragraph for each of the 4 word families you selected. Take a look at my example below for the words "work, works, worker, working, worked". P.S. you cannot use my example😜
"My
dad works as a construction worker in Mississauga. He is such a hard worker,
always making sure he finishes the work he has to do on time. One day I went to
his work and saw him working on building a wooden frame. Last night he worked
so late that I didn’t even get to say goodnight to him. I am so proud of how
hard my dad works."
Math
In math today, we will be learning about fair vs unfair spinners and how this affects the probability of an event occurring. We will have our lesson together at 11:00 so make sure you bring your math materials. Before our lesson I want you to think about:
What do you think the difference is between a fair and unfair spinner?
Can you create an example to show me your thinking?
In today's reading, you will learn about the different nutrients that plants have and their roles.
After reading the article on Seesaw, watch the video that is attached to deepen your knowledge on the 3 plant nutrients: nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium.

Once you have finished reading the text and watching the video, it's time to fill in the blanks on each petal. Use the text you are provided with to help you fill in those blanks.
French
Thursday, March 26th,
2020
Learning goal: Develop listening skills in French and identify
previously learned nouns and verbs.
Success criteria: I can listen to a French narration and identify words
I know.
-
Students will
watch the linked video below two to three times (more or less if needed):
-
While listening
they should focus on pronunciation and vocabulary: try to identify the words
that they already know or learned in the previous days of this week and write
them down on a notepad, white board or a sheet of paper.
-
Now students will
need to make a table with at least 6 boxes, in each they should write one of
the words that they noted down while watching the video and draw what it represents
(words can be nouns or verbs).
Note to students: make sure to properly and neatly present your work
on the sheet (date, title…).
