Summative Notes

We started our summative research process today. First students started to fill out a plan with due dates to keep them on track. This will help them ensure they will complete their summative task on time. Using the questions students created yesterday, I organized them into categories. Students selected four topics they would like to know more about, then selected four questions to guide their research at home. Over the weekend, students are supposed to use the questions they selected to guide their research for each topic. They are to print off their research and bring it to school by Tuesday, October 8th. On Tuesday, students will begin to put their research notes into point form notes that they will use when they write their summaries on each topic. Just a friendly reminded that it is only the research that students are to complete at home. 

Inquiry into Language

Students completed their lesson 4 spelling test today, then read their reading level chapter book.

Inquiry into Math

Once students finished copying down their questions they got to sign out a chromebook and play an addition math game where they had to place a set of digits in the correct spots to make the sum. The link for the game is: https://www.mathplayground.com/brain_workouts/brain_workout_01_addition.html
