Science Fair Day!!
Take a look at today's snapshot of teamwork!
All of our specialists were cancelled today due to Science Fair
We began our day by Silent Reading for about 40 minutes. Once we finished silent reading we completed our Lesson 10 spelling tests.
We then began to practice our Science Fair presentations for this afternoon. The students all knew what part they were responsible for and worked hard on being able to present their parts to the Judge without reading directly off the board. Needless to say, the students were well prepared to present their experiment "Salt Egg Drop" to our Judge.
RECESS/ LUNCH
After lunch students rehearsed their Science Fair parts one more time, then went on to silent read for an additional 15 minutes. Today was a day full of Silent Reading and reading responses! The students then presented their presentation to the Judge and responded to some of the questions she had. After our presentation we reflected on what went well and what we could have done better on next time.
We had a chance to check out the other classes and students science experiments. We were very interested and eager to see how to do some of their experiments. As we browsed around the classes we reflected on what we learned from each board. Then it was time to present our experiments to families and friends! Thank you to all the parents who came to see :)
Well done today Grade 3's! I'm so proud of how well you all presented. Keep up the great work!
A video of our presentation will be posted later on tonight
