Unit of Inquiry:
Students prepared their summative tasks for the showcase in the afternoon. Students divided up the roles for their presentations and practiced a couple times. During this time and after recess, students listened to each others presentation. I loved hearing them question how some of their devices demonstrated the forces they chose, and how well those who were presenting answered those questions.

Students then completed their spelling tests.

RECESS/ LUNCH

UOI Showcase:
Thank you to all families and classes who stopped by to visit our showcase. I hope you learned some information about the environmental issues we selected and how we can use different forces to help resolve/ positively impact these issues.

RECESS/ LUNCH - Students were cleaning up the class to get it back in shape for Math class.

Inquiry into Math:
Ms. Noor taught math class today. The students learned about bar graphs. I was glad to see them using the terminology we have learned in the past couple lessons. Together, Ms. Noor and the students created a bar graph on the board. The students explained to Ms. Noor what to write on the bar graph on the board, and she followed. She emphasized the importance of the title, labels, categories, scale and bars. The students created a bar graph using their bodies based on the colour of shirt they were wearing. All students wearing one coloured shirt created a bar, another shirt created a bar beside that one, and so on. They really enjoyed this activity. I liked how they were able to compare the data amongst the bars.

** To clarify some information on axes and bar graphs. The axes in our bar graphs are not called x-axis and y-axis. These axes are called horizontal axis and vertical axis. We clarified this in class today and will continue referring to these axes as horizontal axis and vertical axis.

AGENDA:
- Read for 25 minutes
- Complete an Act of Kindness at home this weekend. We will discuss this in Monday mornings Compliment Circle

Have a Fantastic Weekend and Stay Warm!!
