Day 6!

March Break!
March break has arrived! Students will return to school on Monday, March 23rd! I hope everyone has a wonderful March Break and enjoys their time with family.
I have sent home a math package that focuses on the spelling of numbers from 0-1000. Students have been asked to complete this package without using the answer sheet on the front, then go back to make corrections using a pen/ pencil crayon so they recognize the numbers they have difficulty spelling. I would love to see all students complete this over the break if they have a chance as it will benefit their spelling of numbers, which I have noticed everyone has area for growth on. 

Spelling Bee!

Our annual Spelling Bee takes place on April 7th (Grades 3-8). The lists that your child can start studying went home today. Please be sure to read over the rules so that you and your child have a clear understanding of the rules that will be followed during the competition. I will go over these rules with the students in class as well. Upon our return from March break, I will inform you of when our in-class competition will be.

Today we got to watch the movie Heidi! Throughout the movie we discussed some of the similarities and differences between the book and movie. 

At the end of the day we had some house games to end off our Spirit week! Congratulations to Theta, who has moved their way into SECOND PLACE!! There was nothing greater than seeing the smiles on the faces of Theta students and teachers!
