Announcements

- Please return all required SJA and teacher forms ASAP (community walk, family handbook acknowledgement, teacher survey, etc.
- Scholastic Book orders due September 13th (cheques only)

Parents, please remember to check and sign your child's agenda on a daily basis. 
If you write a note for me, please ensure your child knows to show me their agenda in the morning so I am aware of your note.

Welcome BBQ
Our annual SJA and Oakwood Welcome BBQ will be here before you know it! All order forms and payments (cash only) are due by Friday, September 13th). I hope to see you all there!

Terry Fox Run

Our annual Terry Fox run is taking place on Friday, September 13th. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000! Let's go SJA! We can do this!

Pledge forms and donations are due to me by September 13th! Let's see how much our Grade 3 class can contribute towards meeting our school goal.

GOLDEN BROOM!

We have worked SOOOOO hard at keeping our cubby area neat and tidy! All this work paid off because we are the very first class to win the GOLDEN BROOM! Let's keep up the hard work to try and win the golden broom again next week!

House Games

We completed the week with a third set of house games! All three houses won first place in at least one of the games. Zeta remains in the lead with the most house points! 

Inquiry into Language

This morning we began to work on our "Big Day" package. Students were able to engage in table talk while completing this, as long as they remained on task. They selected appropriate work areas where they felt they would best complete their work. All incomplete sheets in this package are for homework and due Monday. I'm excited to see their responses!

Students completed the writing component of their DRA. Again, student's had the opportunity to pick an area anywhere in the classroom to complete this task.
