Inquiry into Language:
Today is World Kindness Day! To begin our Kindness activities, students watched a brief video of 10 Random Acts of Kindness done by 2 siblings. We reflected on the actions of the children and then talked about some acts of kindness we could do. Students completed their handprints of ways they are going to show kindness to go up on the wall in Oakwood. Students then participated in writing kind messages on rocks to display around the school to help brighten the days of others. They really enjoyed reflecting on these activities.
"In a world where you can be anything, be kind."
"Kindness is a gift everyone can afford."
"One kind word can change someone's entire day."

Inquiry into Math:
Students completed a division quiz today. The quiz revolved around long/short division, vocabulary of terms, word problems and related facts.

Science Fair Project:
Students completed the third trial of our experiment and recorded the results. We talked about what we found and how this will be reflected in our science fair presentation. We reviewed the different components we will include on our display board and will continue working on this tomorrow.

Unit of Inquiry
The students began to work on their Phenomenal forces summative prep. Students conferenced with myself to approve of the object they will build to ensure it could demonstrate the forces they selected and suited their Environmental Issue. They then went off to brainstorm with their partner what materials they will need and the steps they will take to build this. Just a reminder: all summatives are to be completed at school. Students need to begin to bring in their summative supplies by tomorrow so they can begin to build their objects and test them out.

AGENDA
