Spelling:
We began Lesson 4 today. Our Level Ds are working with words that have soft and hard c sounds, along with words that have soft and hard g sounds. Our Level Cs are working with words that produce the long /a/ sound by containing the vowel team "ai" and "a_e". Spelling work is due by Wednesday this week since Friday is a P.D. day.
Reading Buddies:
Today we read with Ms. Gandy's first grade class.

Inquiry into Math:
We had our Whole Numbers unit test today. We're continuing to work on reading instructions to ensure we have completed everything we were asked to do. Tomorrow we will begin with our Number Patterns unit.
Upon completing our math test students individually worked on a Book Recommendation for Little House in the Big Woods. I'm excited to see our thoughts on this book. If students completed this they then began to work on their International Day component for our display board.
RECESS/ LUNCH
Unit of Inquiry:
We were going to take up our review today, however since majority of us did not have this completed this became a silent work period for those who still had to complete it. Those who completed it over the weekend got to test each other on the content that was on the success criteria. UOI unit test is tomorrow.

- Field Trips forms due Thursday
- Summative materials to be brought in by Wednesday
as this is when we will begin working on it.
