Bring $2 to participate in Blue Shirt day tomorrow for Autism awareness

Report cards go home Friday. Student-led conferences are next week. Please ensure that you schedule a time slot through "pickatime" if you would like to meet with me.

Our annual Spring Fundraiser is coming up! There are a lot of fun activities planned for next week. If students raise/ submit $40, they will get to go on a field trip to Scooter's Roller Palace! Spring Fundraiser due date has been extended to next Tuesday.

We will be having our in-class spelling bee competition next week to determine who will compete in this years spelling bee. Students should be practicing the words that were sent home before the march break. The Spelling Bee date has changed to Monday, April 8th.

Students began to work on Lesson 25 in their spelling workbooks.

Inquiry into Math

Students completed an angles quiz. Then they explored quadrilaterals by examining a variety of quadrilaterals. They used their rulers to measure the length of all sides in each quadrilaterals, along with measuring all angles in the quadrilateral and drawing diagonals. Students were then expected to make connections among the quadrilaterals provided to draw some conclusions about the attributes that make up quadrilaterals. They worked on this is their table groups. 

Art's Night rehearsal

We worked with a choreographer to create our Art's Night performance dance. The students did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to see the final product!

Inquiry into Math/ Spring Fundraiser 

Students watched a video on quadrilaterals to inform them of some of the attributes that make up different types of quadrilaterals. We talked about

- Side length

- Angles within the shape

- Parallel lines

- What the angles always add up to in a quadrilateral

Using the geoboards to make quadrilaterals with specific attributes
